There are several domain name registrars out there that offer domain names for just a few dollars. But are they worth it? Which one is the best deal?

We’re going through the top 10 domain name companies when you search for the Cheapest Domain Name Registration. DynoNames came up today as number 2.

The best deal DynoNames is currently offering is $1.99 USD for a .info domain name for the first year. After the first year, it will cost you $8.99 per domain name per year to renew that domain name.

Here’s what caught our eye with DynoNames. You decide if it’s worth it:

1. The popular .com domain names cost $9.99 per domain name every year. If you pay around $10 per domain name, that’s good. We’ve found the average price for a .com domain name is $16 per year based on a survey of 28 domain registrars including the top 20 listed in wikipedia.

2. Private Domain Name Registration with DynoNames costs $6.95 per domain name for the first year. They will charge you $8.95 per domain name per year to renew. This is the deal-breaker for us because there are several domain name registrars that offer free domain name privacy. It doesn’t make sense to pay for domain name privacy.

Think about it: DynoNames offers a .com domain name for $9.99 per year. Add the domain name privacy feature for $8.95 and you’re paying $18.94 per year for a .com domain name. Compare that with a company that offers you a .com domain name with free privacy registration for just $8.99 per year.

3. With DynoNames, you also get a free “starter” web page, but that’s really just a gateway into getting you to use their webhosting services. We already have our own blog and webhost.

Overall, (Read more ...)

Many people start their own Web sites to share their writing or artwork with friends and family. Others start their sites to share information with people that have similar interests. For these types of Web sites, a very basic Web hosting package is sufficient. However, many companies use the World Wide Web to do business each and every day. E-commerce sites allow products and services to be sold to customers all over the world and require many more features than traditional informational sites. When you are choosing a Website hosting UK provider, you need to be aware of the e-commerce features you need so you can be sure to get the hosting package that will best support your business.

Content Management

Without an easy content management interface, adding new products or changing existing product descriptions to your site would be a nightmare. Content management systems allow you to quickly upload product descriptions, pictures, and pricing information and immediately publish the information to your site. Ask each Web hosting provider you are considering if they have any packages that include content management capabilities.

Credit Card Processing

Doing business online is possible because people can use their credit cards to make purchases. If you are going to accept credit cards on your site, you will need to make sure that your Website hosting UK provider offers a package that included the ability to process merchant transactions. This will allow you to accept payment methods such as Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. Being able to accept credit cards will make it possible to make sales to customers all over the world instead of limiting your customer base to only those who have Paypal or other electronic (Read more ...)

When you are searching for a Web host that can meet your needs and your budget, you need to be sure that the host you choose offers all of the features and support you need to make sure that your site remains operational. If you’re not familiar with Web hosting, comparing the many different packages available can be confusing and difficult. Here are some questions to ask a potential Web hosting USA provider to make sure that you are getting the best hosting package for your business.

What type of security do you offer?

If you plan on selling products from your site, you need to use a Web hosting USA provider that offers secure socket layer protection for your site. Secure socket layer (SSL) encrypts data so that the chances of it being stolen and used illegally are reduced. Ask each Web host you are considering if SSL is offered with any of their packages. If it is not, continue your search for a Web host.

Are there any data transfer or disk space limits?

If your Web host has data transfer or disk space limits that you don’t know about, you could be in for a big surprise when you receive your hosting bill. Overages are typically charged at a very high rate, so it is important to know the limits of your hosting package. Be wary of choosing a hosting package that offers unlimited data transfer. These unlimited packages usually have a cap on them to prevent abusive use.

What type of support do you offer?

Technical support is very important, especially if you are unfamiliar with managing a Web site. If you have questions about the features of your site or your site goes down at some point, you will want to know that you can contact someone at your Web host for help. Find out if technical (Read more ...)

When you are searching for a Website hosting USA provider, it is important to know what you need in terms of data transfer limits, disk space, features, and technical support. What you need will depend on how you plan on using your site and how much traffic you expect to receive. If you take the time to determine your hosting needs before you select a Web host, you can make sure that you get the features you need at the best price possible.

How will your site be used?

One of the most important considerations in choosing a Web host will be how you plan on using your site. If you plan on putting up only one page to capture people’s e-mail addresses or share information about a service you provide, your data transfer and disk space needs will be minimal. You will probably not need all of the extra features that many Web hosts provide. If you are going to start a brochure site for your business, the site will probably have many pages. This will increase your disk space needs beyond what you will need for a one-page site. You may also need more features to help your site look professional and function well. Starting an e-commerce site means that you will need a lot in the way of features and functionality. You will need to make sure your host offers SSL encryption, e-mail accounts, autoresponders, and other e-commerce features.

How much traffic do you expect?

Another consideration in choosing a Website hosting USA provider is how much traffic you expect the site to receive. If you are putting up a site to share pictures and news with a few family members, you will not need to worry about getting the biggest and best hosting package available. If you plan on selling products and services to a large customer base, (Read more ...)

If you are searching for a Web host, there are many factors that you need to consider in making your decision. Not every plan is right for every Web site manager, so you need to compare UK Web hosts to find out which one is the best for your individual needs. Learning how to compare these hosts can help you to understand the features and support you need so that your Web site will be a success.

Dedicated vs. Shared Hosting

Before you begin comparing UK Web hosts, you need to determine if you will be able to share a server with other sites or if you need your own dedicated server. On the Web, every server has a unique IP address, which is like an identification number. If several sites are hosted on the same server, all of the sites will have the same IP address. There are benefits and drawbacks to each type of hosting that need to be considered before you can decide which one you need. Shared hosting is much cheaper than having a dedicated server, but the low price can be offset by the disadvantages of this type of hosting. If your site is hosted on the same server as a known spam site, the IP address of the server may be banned from search engine indexes. This can spell disaster for your traffic generation efforts. Shared hosting also results in a slower server response and and the potential for more server crashes. Dedicated hosting allows for a faster server response to high traffic loads and more control over your site.

E-Commerce Features

For a brochure Web site, most Web hosts can provide adequate features and support. An e-commerce site that allows you to sell products or services directly from the Web requires many more features and better technical support to ensure that these business transactions run (Read more ...)

If you are thinking about choosing a Web hosting Sweden provider, you will need to determine what features you need so that you can compare hosts and pick the one that meets your needs the best. One thing that you should consider when choosing a host is whether they allow you to view your site statistics. Web site statistics can be very valuable in helping you to plan changes to your site and determine how well your site is performing. These are just some of the reasons you should consider choosing a host that offers site statistics in their hosting packages.

Visitor Traffic

Having access to your site statistics means that you can track the number of visitors to your site. This can be very helpful if you are optimizing your site for the search engines, as you can see if your efforts are paying off. Many Web statistics interfaces allow you to see the total number of visitors to your site each day and each month, allowing you to identify trends. For example, if you notice that more people visit your site on Wednesday than any other day of the week, you can start adding new content to the site on Tuesday evenings so that your visitors have new content ready for them on Wednesday mornings.

Most Visited Pages

If your Web hosting Sweden provider offers access to your site statistics, you can find out which pages of your site are the most popular. Site statistics interfaces will show you how many visits individual pages get each day and each month. Identifying your most visited pages will allow you to determine what your visitors are interested and provide more of it so that people will continue visiting your site. For example, if you determine that your most popular pages concentrate on one topic, you can add articles, (Read more ...)

The Best Domain Name Price on NameCheap.com is $2.98 USD for a .info domain name for the first year. (After the first year, it will cost you $9.69 per domain name per year.)

Overall, NameCheap ain’t bad:

1. .com, .org, and .net domain names only cost $9.69 / yr. Anything less than $10 per domain name is good. If you’re paying anything close to $35 per domain name per year, you’re paying too much.

2. .mobi domain names are $7.99 for the first year (and $19.88 / year afterwards.) The average price for a .mobi domain name is around $26 per year. (That’s based on looking at 25 different registrars, including the top 20 registrars listed on Wikipedia.)

Online businesses are of various different types. One such online business opportunity is making money using parked domain names. With this form of online business, you can make a considerable amount of money and may not have to look for another job for your living. Domain parking is a very efficient business that requires very little from you and in turn produces some great results.

How Can You Gain From Parked Domains

With parked domains, you can gain money in quite a few ways. First of all, you can try and hook on to various marketing programs like the pay-per-click program. Here you link with one or more companies and their websites and are responsible to generate traffic for their sites using your parked domain. Every time a surfer clicks on a link and goes to the website of the companies you are working with, the company pays you some money.

Affiliate Marketing is a great example of such a method to earn money. Try to get hold of businesses that deal with products and services that correspond to the name of your website. Set up a deal with them to advertise their products and provide links on your website to direct visitors to their websites.

If you can use interesting and attractive content on your domain to get the visitors interested in the products of the business you are advertising for, they will visit their website, and in turn enable you to make money.

For example, if your domain name is www.fightcold.com, you can tie up with companies dealing with woolen garments and winter wear and divert traffic to their website. As the visitors click on the link provided on your domain name and get diverted to their website, you get paid by the company for the leads you generate.

This can be a great way to (Read more ...)

If you are aware of the best practices, reselling domain names can earn you a considerable amount of money. There are some factors that you need to consider for this. First of all, you must be able to speculate what names would sell the most and generate most demand. Let us look at all the points one should consider when looking to sell domain names to make some good money out of this business.

How To Choose The Best Selling Names

A small domain name is much more desirable than a large and complicated domain name. It is easier to type and remember for the surfer. Because of this, small domain names are very effective for advertising through word of mouth.

Once you have a domain name, try to get it a good ranking with search engine optimization. This greatly increases the value of the domain name. It can be achieved by good advertising and following the other methods of search engine optimization. Any business that purchases it will have a good ranking and hence get more visitors to their website with the domain name.

Selling Domain Names

Now that you have a good domain name that will get you a good price, how do you go for selling it? It is very simple. Try to go for the various forums, blogs and auctioneering websites and post the domain name and the price you are looking to sell it for. This generally gets a lot of people and businesses getting back to you provided your domain name is good enough.

The best thing to do is to wait for some time before actually selling off the domain name. In the mean time you can check the price of similar domain names and how they are selling. When you feel that the prices being offered are good enough, advertise about the domain name and sell it off at the (Read more ...)

Domain squatting is a very unconventional and yet very successful business if you know how to go for it. You can earn good money by selling domain names that you have kept parked. Domain name squatting has resulted in some big money for the people dealing with it!

It is a great business to opt for if you want to make some money with very less effort. Market speculation is very important for this and if you are not careful with what you are doing, you may end up with a lawsuit. Here is some information that will render better awareness about this business.

How To Select Domain Names And What Does It Cost

Registering a domain name is quite cheap. Moreover, if you are not happy with it, you can cancel it within the first 5 days and get a full refund of the money you spent. However, it can get you a huge amount of money. Domain names have been sold for as high as 8 million USD in the past!

While it is parked, you can even use it to earn some money through advertisements like the pay-per-click programs. Even this can generate some good money for you while you wait for a good offer to come your way. Try to utilize the forwarding and redirection service of your domain registrar for this.

How Else Can You Use The Domain Name While It Is Parked

You can even opt for affiliate marketing with your parked domain. Simply use your domain to divert traffic to other sites that have similar content that relates your domain name. For example, if your domain name is www.greatshoes4u.com, you can tie up with a shoe company and direct your traffic to their website when a user visits your site.
