The company prides itself in offering green web hosting services in an attempt to save the planet and environment by offering web hosting services on 100% renewable energy. This is primarily because; data centers essentially consume huge amounts of renewable energy. Customers are highly impressed to find a host that plants a tree for every new sign up that they receive. All those people who respect and care for the environment are especially pleased to find a “green hosting company” that also offers superior hosting services and reliability.

All their hosting plans are competitively priced and come outfitted with highly utilizable and impressive feature list. The company offers their standard plans for just $7.95 per month (for a two year payment cycle) and these come equipped with 1000 GB of bandwidth and 100GB of disk space. MidPhase Web Hosting Review

May 15th, 2009

MidPhase is a highly reliable and fairly large web hosting company, based in Chicago. The company first commenced its operations in the year 2003 and is growing at an exponential pace each month. Reports suggest that the company adds over 4000 new hosting accounts each month to its customer base. Many analysts and reviews suggest that the company has set itself in a league of its own in the hosting market and is considered the best in terms of hosting plans, affordability, products and support. This gets validated by the fact that the company has an ever growing customer base. So surely the company must be doing something right in order to achieve a huge figure each month.

MidPhase offers Linux web hosting, shared web hosting, VPS hosting plans, dedicated servers as well as website design services. The company also provides site, domain and database transfer services as well as renew your domain name. Also take note of the fact that AN Hosting is also owned by MidPhase.

Furthermore, the sign up process at MidPhase is fairly quick and simple. It took us less than 5 minutes to open a hosting account with them. In a bid to heighten and enhance their fraud prevention services, the user is required to confirm their order either by phone or fax after which the user’s hosting account is successfully set up.

The company is commonly referred to as the “best budget hosting company” with an amazing technical and customer support system. Support is offered 24/7 both by toll free phone and email. Customers are highly pleased by their solid 99.9% uptime guarantee as well as a no questions asked 30 day money back guarantee. The company boasts of highly advanced servers that are housed in equally advanced and secure data centres. (Read more ...)

Review of Bluehost

May 15th, 2009

While there are many quality hosting providers in the industry, there are a few that have carved a well-deserved niche for themselves not just because of aggressive advertising but by offering superior hosting products and services at competitive pricing structures. One such web hosting provider is called Bluehost that has a lot to offer for people looking for an all-inclusive hosting package. Bluehost is better referred to as budget hosting at its best without having to compromise on quality, features and reliability.

It is always a good idea to preset a monthly hosting budget and evaluate your hosting requirements before you select their hosting package. Study their website thoroughly before you decide on your hosting package. The other good thing that we liked about Bluehost is that the company offers a toll free number and a 24/7 customer support. The best part yet is that the customer gets live help from a live person and this kind of support is any preferable to the email support system which may entail a longer response time.

Transfer clients or new clients also get $50 worth of Yahoo! Credit and $25 worth of Google credit, completely free of cost. Unlike other web hosts, the company also offers free blog, free chat, free e-commerce/cart as well as a free board. These kind of start up bonuses are hard to find and given the history and positive reviews of the company, customers would not be regretting their decision.

Well, there s still more good news for people looking for the perfect quality budget hosting company. Bluehost also offers a free domain name to a new customer which in fact is a very attractive deal. Most people are required to buy a domain name separately which could turn out to be an expensive proposition. It (Read more ...)

Changing Web Hosts: Tips and Tricks

May 15th, 2009

Unhappy with your current web host but overwhelmed with the thought of leaving it for another? You’re not alone. But moving from one host to another can be a painless process if you consider a few tips beforehand.

First, make sure that the new host has the features you need for your website. There’s nothing worse than discovering your new host doesn’t meet your needs after going through the work of purchasing hosting and moving everything over. You may want to make a checklist of your current needs and confirm that your new host offers them. Common overlooked features are database access and scripting. In the least, if you find that some functions used by your website are not available, plan how you will adjust it to the new hosts system.

Another word to the wise would be to keep your old site as a backup. Even if your website isn’t large, you may want to stay with your old host for another month, if only for peace of mind. That way, if you forget to move something or can’t remember your old setup, you’d have the original copy to refer to. You may not even need the old host once you’ve switched, but it’s much better to be prepared for the worst.

Next, update the DNS records with the “Name Server” information of the new host. The DNS records give the “address” of your website to the internet, so it’s critical that this is updated – otherwise your website will be inaccessible. Wherever your domain name is managed will need this information. Ask your new host for the name servers you’ll need to update your DNS records. Make sure whether you new host is also a registrar as well as a name server. If not, you will also need to give the registrar the updated information.

Don’t forget to give (Read more ...)
