Are You a Link Hater?

December 31st, 2008

SEO techniques have been regurgitated time and time again, the same old stuff spouted by different people. it is not often i write about SEO unless i have got something new to add.

So whats new?

Instead of going into great detail about a million SEO techniques i am going to cover one aspect of how to improve your rankings using ethical SEO methods that are within the Search Engines guidelines.

It`s all about what you say!

Since the blogging platform became a plague of hungry authors spreading the gospel about all and everything they could think of, it opened up a brand new channel to those SEO`s sharp enough to get the idea that a link here and a link there would help improve a sites backlinks, that`s nothing new. it is also common knowledge that a link within the comments section of websites offering the chance to leave feedback on a product, article or any other content would also help to elevate a websites backlinks and in turn the target keywords you were using for your website all of a sudden improve your search engine visibility, thats nothing new either.

So what`s new for heavens sake?

New might be the wrong word to use, erm.. how about Link Love! link love is not new either, good editorial content will easily receive a bookmark, a link back or if you are one of the lucky few a whole review of your product or services placed within a high ranking site.

So it`s link Love your talking about then?

Yes Link Love, we all want it, we all get it to different degrees of success, so what about those nasty people that give the link but hide it from the search engines with the “NOFOLLOW” tag? Well i should say to those people that what you are actually doing is preventing the spread of Link Love and (Read more ...)

Article Marketing – Your Solution To Lifetime Traffic

December 31st, 2008

Some internet marketers call ‘Article Marketing’ the ‘Lifetime Traffic Generator’. Why?

Here are 3 reasons:

1. Articles are written once and they stay on the web forever. Submit it to article directories, ezine directories and they will get archived after a while.

One good thing about archiving is that they can still be dug out from the cyber library using the search engines on their sites.

2. Articles provide valuable information to the readers. As long as the information provided in the articles are evergreen, they will stand against the challenge of the time and still benefit readers who read it years later.

Therefore, a tip is to fill your articles with general ideas that will remain applicable even in the future. Say ‘submit your articles to article sites’ instead of ‘submit your articles to xyz, abc site’ because those sites could go down anytime in the future.

3. Publishers are ever-hungry for quality content. As long as the content you provide in your articles is practical and informative, publishers would love to use your articles in the next issue of their newsletter.

And so what if your articles have been featured before? Some publishers recycle previous articles after a few months if they find those articles interesting and informative.

So why makes article marketing the ‘Lifetime Traffic Generator’?

The answer lies in the resource box.

Every time someone finishes reading your articles, they will see the resource box at the end of those articles. It’s like a mini-advertisement that accompanies your articles wherever they may be distributed to.

When a reader wants to find out more about (Read more ...)

December 31st, 2008

When the Internet first began to be perceived as a channel of marketing and business, entrepreneurs started choosing various methods of promoting their products. However, most of the methods that prevailed in the 1990s were single point agendas. People who marketed through emails focused only on email marketing and people who marketed through articles focused only on article marketing. Rarely would an entrepreneur go ahead and make a mix of various Internet marketing methods. The reason for this was the difficulty involved in focusing on various operations at the same time. This would eat into the prospects of the business website, but implementing a whole range of marketing services meant a lot of expenses.

Below are the two major types of catalogs that are perfect for certain kinds of businesses. Look through and what type of catalog printing is perfect for you.

The Supplier’s catalog: The first type of catalog is the supplier’s catalog. This is for businesses who sell their products at wholesale prices to other shops or resellers. Like many other catalogs, it should have a list of what you are selling, their prices and if possible an image of the product. The difference with this catalog with the others is that it should also list special shipping details for the wholesale products. A supplier’s catalog should display information regarding ordering details, shipping schedules, packing arrangements and other topics relevant for a reseller.

In terms of design, a supplier’s catalog can be simple and utilitarian. Since the catalog’s target market are resellers, the important thing that you must prominently display are your prices, shipping details and special deals. You do not need to hire expert graphics designers to make artful representations of you products. Keep the design clean, neat, formal and straight to the point. Why Booklet Printing Fails

December 31st, 2008

Booklets are an investment. Being your business or project tool, booklet printing should never fail. However, a lot of people out there get caught by their own great ideas and make gruesome mistakes when designing fully color booklets. This article aims to steer you away from such a failure so that you can create an effective and quality booklet. So let’s get to the first major reason why booklets fail.

The information you present is wrong: One of the biggest mistakes you can make is to present the wrong information. This is especially true for booklets that are used for marketing strategies. These types of booklets are written too much like an advertisement. They treat their subject matter like it’s the best and only thing in the world. For example, a marketing travel booklet for a tourist destination that only talks about everything good about the place. It may use a little too much hyperbole in its descriptions to the point that it loses integrity. Booklets are about information. The good and the bad, but it should always be the truth. Fail in writing that and the booklet fails.

To make sure that you present the right information, always have a clear goal when writing the booklet. It made be to expertly train your staff, to inform people about the beauties and dangers of a travel destination, or it may tell them about the hardships a foundation is encountering and how donations can help. Always aim for these goals when writing content for the booklet. This should let you write the correct information.

The design wants to draw attention to itself more than the content: The next thing that designers and booklet printing services can fail on is to design a booklet that is too flashy it distracts the reader. It can easily happen. It starts (Read more ...)
